At Blue Ridge Action Sports Camp (ASC), we pride ourselves on creating a summer camp experience for campers that last a lifetime. Being a small camp, we are able to provide hands-on instruction across all camp activities to ensure campers learn and push their limits in a safe environment.
Campers at Blue Ridge ASC will enjoy a range of activities, such as BMX, mountain biking, and skateboarding, as well as archery, tubing, hiking, and nature skills to name a few. Campers will be able to sign-up for these activities to ensure all campers have a chance to learn new skills in a safe learning environment.
At Blue Ridge ASC, we operate using the Rule of Three. This means there will be at least three people together at all times. This can be a counselor/staff and two campers, two counselors/staff and one camper, or three campers. This helps to keep campers safe at all times, never leaving them alone with only one other person, whether camper or counselor/staff.
Part of a successful camp experience means communicating with parents/guardians as necessary to ensure they receive timely and consequential information regarding their children during their time at camp.
As your child prepares for camp, we will provide you with all the information you need to ensure they have a smooth and enjoyable experience. From packing lists and arrival instructions to details about camp activities and schedules, we'll make sure you have everything you need to feel confident and prepared.
The safety of your child is our first priority. We take extensive measures to ensure a safe and secure environment at camp, including thorough staff training, adherence to industry safety standards, and regular safety inspections of our facilities and equipment.
Blue Ridge ASC hires the most skilled counselors and staff to work with our campers. Applicants go through a thorough application process including a background check, multiple interviews, must provide a minimum of three character or work references, and must pass a drug test. Once hired, counselors and staff go through extensive training to ensure campers are safe while at Blue Ridge ASC. All counselors and staff are trained in First Aid/CPR, water safety, mandatory reporting, and specific specialty training for those overseeing specific activities requiring extra training.
Thank you for considering Blue Ridge Action Sports Camp for your child's summer adventure. We are excited to welcome them to camp and provide them with an unforgettable experience filled with fun, growth, and friendship.
